Requirements To Become A Massage Therapist In North Carolina
Good moral character is a requirement for licensure as a massage and bodywork therapist in North Carolina and pursuant to NC G.S. 90-629.1, the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy may deny a license to practice massage and bodywork therapy if an applicant has a criminal record or there is other evidence that indicates the applicant lacks good moral character;
Statement that you must hold a North Carolina Massage & Bodywork Therapy license to practice massage and bodywork therapy in North Carolina;
You have to complete a 500 hour curriculum course at an accredited massage school (ours is a 700 hour course). Complete massage clinicals and receive a diploma after all requirements have been met.
Once your diploma is received and your course is complete; you have to apply to take the North Carolina state exam (Mblex).
